The Iowa 4-H Foundation is very excited to announce the '09 Iowa 4-H Clover Corolla Raffle! The Iowa 4-H Clover Corolla will be coming to Iowa at the beginning of June and will travel across the entire state raising funds for Iowa 4-H and promoting the Iowa 4-H program. Your county can request the Clover Corolla to visit an event and receive up to 50% of the funds raised from tickets sold at that event and in the county. Story County raised $5,000 last year and received nearly $2,500 for their county endowment by holding two events and selling tickets in their office!
A 2009 Toyota Corolla, the number one car sold in the world, will be raffled off to raise money for 4-H programs across the state of Iowa. All funds raised will support county and statewide 4-H educational programs. Counties are encouraged to apply to have the Clover Corolla come to their County Fair and other local events. Counties may also choose to sell tickets in the county office with the help of their 4-H Foundation or 4-H volunteers. The 4-H Foundation will coordinate with County Extension offices and County 4-H Foundations to set up and execute a raffle along with a 4-H promotion. County volunteers (over the age of 18) may help sell raffle tickets for the Clover Corolla. An Iowa 4-H Foundation staff person will deliver the Clover Corolla and provide support as needed. The 4-H county hosting the Clover Corolla must pay all expenses for the vehicle to be displayed. (ex. gate admission, entry fees, etc.) All Iowa counties are eligible to apply.
Counties may participate in a variety of ways:
1. Have the Clover Corolla Visit your County
Read and understand all the rules and regulations which can be found on our website.
Fill out the attached application and return to the Iowa 4-H Foundation via fax, e-mail or mail.
2. Sell Tickets at your County Office
Counties may request a specific number of tickets to sell from their county office.
All ticket sales from county offices will be eligible to receive up to 50% of the ticket sales.
Fund Distribution
Tickets will be sold for $5 each, 5 for $20, or 30 for $100. (Please note the price has been lowered from last year!)
Counties with endowments established with the Iowa 4-H Foundation will receive 50% of the net ticket sales sold in their county if they provide volunteers to help sell the tickets.
Counties without endowments established with the Iowa 4-H Foundation will receive 25% of the net ticket sales sold in their county if they provide volunteers to help sell the tickets.
Money raised by the Iowa 4-H Foundation will be used for statewide 4-H programming and will be accounted for in unrestricted giving.
Money raised by the individual counties may be used however the county determines appropriate to support their 4-H programs.
Benefits to the 4-H Program
Money raised will help fund opportunities for Iowa’s youth.
This project will increase awareness of the 4-H Program throughout the state and assist with recruitment goals.
Deadline
Applications are due to the Iowa 4-H Foundation by Monday, June 22nd. Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis and dates will fill up fast. So determine your county’s date preferences and submit your application as soon as possible. The truck will be available for events on June 22nd so apply today!
